Logos and identification[]

Their current logo has developed in 1967 and has seen various changes. Most of the changes typically regard the byline highlighting new ownership. With the recent rename of its current owner, "Pictures" was added to differentiate between both. Aside from the owner, the company’s name has also been expanded to a television network (originally launched in 1983 and renamed in 2018) and a streaming service (originally launched in 2014 and renamed in 2021), both of which were also renames of preexisting properties.

Trivia[]

  • Their name is, coincidentally, a real word that is commonly used as a synonym of important. It's not clear if their name truly plays into this definition or not.
  • Their logo has been labeled as Paramountain (which can be considered roughly eponymous to the name of the company)
